Lil Armstrong Wallpiece
We love Lil Armstrong , she was Louis
Armstrong's first wife. She did alot on her
own and we are still trying to collect more
of her music from the 40s and 50s. She made
Chicago her home and along with recording
ran a restaraunt and designed clothes for her
own dress shop. In 1971 the city of Chicago
had an outdoor concert to honor Louis , who
had passed away 6 months earlier.
Half way through one of her numbers she
stopped Playing looked at the audience and
passed away.
We just put the handfull of Excellent tunes that
we have by Lil on a disc and will send it with this lil' wallpiece on wood to remember Lil Armstrong. This little piece is.
Finished off with beads and macrame.
